Maintenance Resource Management (MRM) is an extension of pilot training known as Cockpit Resource Management (CRM). MRM is Human Factors at the conceptual level and is an important part of the FAA regulatory direction for FAR Part 145 training programs. This course looks at the origin of MRM and the current thinking regarding implementing Human Factors in maintenance. Students will review what constitutes complacency. Students will review how complacency can lead to accidents. Students will learn that complacency comes in many forms in the workplace. Students will understand why complacency is one of the Human Factors of Dirty Dozen and why it is such a silent killer.
