Overview

This course is the second in a series of four English language MOOCs designed for students with an intermediate level of English looking to reach a higher intermediate level. The course is comprised of video lessons, reading comprehension activities, grammar explanations and exercises, listening comprehension activities and speaking practice.

The course covers interesting topics such as the Olympic Games, natural resources, extreme sports, health issues, films, pollution or pets.

This course also includes preparatory materials and recommendations to take the Cambridge University First Certificate in English Examination (FCE).

    READING The reading exercises were very well made. But what I didn’t like was that some idioms in the reading texts weren’t explained at all. WRITING The writing exercises were also nice, but I didn’t like that they didn’t have peer grading in the…

    I think this was a good investment of my money. I was looking for a challenging course, a course that would bring me some difficulties to learn further than I know. And this one had it.

    In the positive things, there is explanation, videos, recordings, listening, a lot of grammar references, and vocabulary; it is well designed for improvement.

    In the negative things I have to say, I don't like the way it grades the writing with the self-grading and peer-grading, and the speaking is not great; in general, the course doesn't have feedback at all, and it is disappointing.

    The course is good, but I think it is outdated with the new technologies.

I only don't give five stars because I thought the exercises kinda specific, even you are not wrong you really should guess exactly the answer even has a lot of alternative answers.

    The English course was a great experience for me. The lessons were well-organized and easy to understand, and the teachers were supportive and patient. I learned new skills, especially in speaking and listening, and I noticed a big improvement in my confidence when using the language. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to improve their English in an effective and enjoyable way.

    During this course you may get a lot of issues. Discover many interesting information from different countries. Also you may start to use wealphy vocabulary, improve writing and communication skills.
    Moreover I would love to notice that there are many repetitive materials. Its about when you need to grade another students. It’s useful to explore different opinions, but it may be boring as well. Anyway, the is always favor, it’s up on you.
    As for me, that course allowed me to practice English. Improve my level at reading, writing, listening, grammar and even speaking.
