Learners will explore how to use probability ranges instead of single-point estimates and discover practical tools for implementing these methods in real-world scenarios. The module also addresses common misconceptions about risk analysis and demonstrates the value of calibrated probability assessments.
  • Quantifying the Value of Information
    • This module explores how to quantify the value of information to make better decisions under uncertainty. Learners will discover methods such as expected opportunity loss, incremental probability, and the value of partial uncertainty reduction, while debunking common measurement myths. Practical tools and real-world examples illustrate how to optimize measurement strategies for maximum impact.
  • The Transition: From What to Measure to How to Measure
    • This module guides learners through the process of transforming measurement questions into actionable strategies by decomposing variables, leveraging existing research, and designing effective observation instruments.
