Syllabus

  • Installing and Setting Up ESXi and vCenter
    • In the first module, you’ll get introduced to the VMware vSphere platform and its key components, including ESXi and vCenter. You’ll learn about ESXi architecture, user account best practices, and how to install ESXi step-by-step in a hands-on lab. You’ll also explore how to configure ESXi using the DCUI and manage hosts via the VMware Host Client. The module concludes with deploying the vCenter Server Appliance (VCSA) in a guided lab, setting the stage for centralized management.
  • Configuring and Managing vCenter Server
    • In this module, you’ll dive into vCenter Server configuration and licensing. You’ll perform initial vCenter setup in a lab, understand license key management, and organize the vCenter inventory using datacenters, clusters, and folders. You’ll also learn how to implement role-based access control, apply permissions appropriately, and interpret vCenter logs and events for effective monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Networking and Storage in vSphere
    • This module covers the essentials of networking and storage within the vSphere environment.
