Syllabus

  • Lesson 1: Introduction to TMMi Framework
    • This foundational lesson, provides a foundational overview of the Test Maturity Model integration (TMMi), covering its purpose, structure, and relationship to industry standards like CMMI. Learners will explore the five maturity levels (Level 1 – Initial, Level 2 – Managed, Level 3 – Defined, Level 4 – Measured, Level 5 – Optimization), understand how TMMi supports structured testing process improvement, and discover the core benefits of adopting the framework in real-world organizations. This lesson sets the stage for deeper exploration of the model’s process areas, roles, and assessment methods.
  • Lesson 2: Process Areas and Roles Across Maturity Levels
    • In this lesson, learners will examine how test processes evolve across different TMMi maturity levels and how specific roles contribute to scalable quality engineering. Through guided scenarios and real-world models, learners will identify key process areas—like test Policy, strategy, planning, design and execution, environment control, defect management, and metrics—and how these are formalized at higher maturity stages. By understanding the responsibilities of testers, developers, QA leads, and managers within these process areas, learners will gain insight into building structured, role-aligned practices that drive sustainable test architecture and team collaboration.
  • Lesson 3: TMMi Assessments and Real-World Application
    • Getting certified is one thing—driving real improvement is another. This lesson explores how TMMi assessments go beyond compliance checklists to become powerful tools for transformation. You’ll unpack the TMMi assessment lifecycle, from initial gap analysis to audit readiness, and learn how to interpret findings in a way that guides actionable improvement.Through expert videos, role-based mappings, and interactive reflections, you’ll connect formal TMMi process areas to your team’s daily challenges—whether it's defining roles, improving defect prevention, or building scalable QA strategies. You'll also gain hands-on experience in planning a quality maturity roadmap tailored to your organization's goals.By the end of this lesson, you’ll see TMMi not as a theoretical framework, but as a practical compass for elevating quality across teams, projects, and pipelines.
