In addition, you’ll explore the product manager's role in business development, SWOT analysis, and Porter's Five Forces Model for market assessment. The course also helps you understand the concepts of innovation and ideation and equip you with crucial skills for effective communication and teamwork in the field of Product Management. Throughout this course, several product management experts will share their insights and experiences in product management. Practice quizzes and graded quizzes will test your knowledge. You will be able to apply the concepts learned in the course in a final project. This course is suitable for anyone who aspires to apply for product management jobs. It requires no prior experience or knowledge of product management.

  • Product Management Communication and Collaboration Fundamentals
    • In this module, you will explore the foundational communication and collaboration skills required for effective product management. You will learn how product managers engage stakeholders, set SMART goals, communicate product vision, and foster productive teamwork. Additionally, you will develop interpersonal, facilitation, influencing, and decision-making skills to support collaboration in both team and organizational settings.
  • Business Development and the Product Manager
    • In this module, you will examine the relationship between product management, business development, and market strategy. You will explore concepts such as Kotler’s Five Levels of Product, market segmentation, SWOT analysis, the Ansoff Matrix, and Porter’s Five Forces Model. By the end of this module, you will understand how product managers contribute to strategic planning, market assessment, and business growth.
  • Driving Strategy and Innovation
    • In this module, you will explore the role of product managers in driving innovation and strategic thinking. You will examine innovation methodologies, ideation challenges, and the innovation process, while also developing analytical, abstract thinking, and organizational skills. Additionally, you will learn how product managers collaborate with business analysts and apply management skills to support product success.
  • Understanding Communication Styles
    • In this module, you will learn how different communication styles influence collaboration, trust, and team effectiveness. You will explore situational communication methods, team communication strategies, and the Tuckman Ladder model for team development. The module also introduces public relations and media planning concepts, helping you understand how communication styles support effective stakeholder and public engagement.
  • Course Summary and Final Assessment
    • In this module, you will apply product management concepts through a comprehensive final project and assessment. You will develop practical deliverables such as an elevator pitch, market analysis using Porter’s Five Forces, and an initial public relations plan. This module reinforces your understanding of communication, strategy, innovation, and business development within product management.
