We will also dive into advanced topics like mesh networking and security measures, and look at technologies beyond traditional Wi-Fi that contribute to modern networks.
  • Internet and SOHO Networking
    • In this module, we will cover the foundational aspects of internet and small office/home office (SOHO) networking, including broadband connections, firewalls, and remote management protocols. You'll also gain hands-on troubleshooting skills to resolve connectivity issues and understand key internet protocols.
  • Virtualization, Cloud Computing, and AI
    • In this module, we will introduce you to the world of virtualization and cloud computing, covering both fundamental concepts and advanced applications. You'll learn how to set up virtual machines, explore different cloud models, and understand the integration of AI into cloud-based solutions.
  • Portable Computing
    • In this module, we will cover the essential features and hardware of portable computing devices like laptops. You will gain hands-on experience in hardware troubleshooting, understand power management techniques, and learn about the maintenance of key components like displays and motherboards.
  • Mobile Devices

  • Maintaining and Securing Mobile Devices
    • In this module, we will focus on best practices for maintaining and securing mobile devices. From performing software updates to configuring email accounts securely, you will also learn essential mobile security practices, including MFA and mobile device management (MDM).
  • Printers and Multifunction Devices
    • In this module, we will cover the various types of printers, from laser and inkjet to more specialized impact and thermal models. You’ll also learn how to install and troubleshoot printers, both locally and wirelessly, and get introduced to 3D printing and its growing relevance in IT.
  • Essential Security Practices
    • In this module, we will focus on core IT security practices, including how to handle threats, enforce physical security, and implement multifactor authentication (MFA). You'll also learn about essential methods to protect your systems from both physical and digital threats.
  • Operational Procedures
    • In this module, we will cover operational best practices, focusing on data backup techniques and effective management of IT support through ticketing systems. You’ll learn how to handle technical issues and ensure data protection with robust backup solutions.
