Learn to build a modular haunted street environment from the ground up using Blender, mastering core modeling, UV mapping, and asset organization techniques. Develop a strong foundation in creating detailed, reusable 3D assets for stylized environments. This course guides learners through the essential skills needed to create modular assets and organize complex scenes in Blender. You will explore viewport navigation, core modeling tools, professional asset naming, and advanced shading workflows. By focusing on walls, windows, doors, and foundational props, you will gain expertise in UV mapping, procedural modeling, and clean scene management. By the end of the course, you will be able to construct and organize a detailed haunted street scene, ready for further expansion or integration into larger projects. The course uses a step-by-step, project-based approach, introducing foundational concepts before progressing to advanced modeling and texturing techniques. Learners build confidence through clear explanations and practical workflows, ensuring a solid grasp of modular asset creation and scene organization. This course is part one of a three-course Specialization designed to build a complete and cohesive understanding of the subject. While it offers valuable skills on its own, you'll gain the most benefit by progressing through all three courses as a structured learning journey. This course is based on Blender 5 & UE5.7 - Stylized Haunted Street Kit, by 3D Tudor (Neil Ian Bettison). This course is licensed and distributed by Packt. All rights reserved. Syllabus

  • Course Kickoff: Navigation, Core Tools, and First Modular Wall Kit
    • This module introduces you to essential Blender skills, including efficient viewport navigation, core modeling tools, and scene organization. You will learn to construct modular environments with real-world scale and keep your projects organized and secure. By the end, you'll be ready to build and manage modular assets for 3D scenes.
  • Asset Naming, Lookdev, AO Grayboxing, and Clean Shading
    • This module guides learners through best practices in asset naming, modular scene setup, and advanced shading techniques using Blender. You will explore the differences between Eevee and Cycles rendering engines, apply ambient occlusion for realistic materials, and master clean shading with seams and sharp edges. By the end, you'll be able to organize, light, and texture 3D scenes with professional workflows.
  • UVs and Materials for Walls, Posts, and Timber Details
    • This module guides learners through advanced asset creation techniques in Blender, focusing on UV unwrapping, material application, and detailed modeling for walls, posts, and timber elements. You will explore methods for realistic texturing, modifier usage, and stylized modeling to enhance environmental assets.
  • Smart UV Workflow and Procedural Stone Stairs with Wear
    • This module guides learners through the process of preparing 3D assets for texturing using smart UV mapping, constructing procedural stone stairs with geometry nodes, and applying realistic wear effects. By the end, you'll be able to enhance your models with modifiers and create professional, varied stair assets in Blender.
  • Staircase Refinement and Modular Window Modeling Basics
    • This module guides learners through the process of modeling detailed stone staircases and stylized wooden windows in Blender, emphasizing clean topology and realistic detailing. You will explore advanced techniques such as bending geometry, using the knife tool for custom shapes, and adding depth and thickness to window props. By the end, you'll be equipped to efficiently create and refine modular architectural elements for environment design.
  • Window UV Perfection and Modular Door Creation
    • This module guides learners through advanced UV unwrapping techniques for windows, correcting UV distortions, and managing material emissions. You will also explore boolean operations for custom door cutouts, refine door panel topology, and add realistic details such as glass inserts to your models.
  • Door Details: Handles, Supports, Doorways, and Asset Manager
    • This module guides learners through the process of modeling various door components in Blender, including classic and teardrop handles, wooden supports, and stone doorways. You will also discover how to efficiently organize and reuse assets using Blender's Asset Manager, enhancing your workflow for architectural modeling projects.
  • Material Pass and Cemetery Props Blockout
    • This module guides learners through the process of modeling and texturing stylized environment props using Blender. You will practice efficient UV mapping, apply realistic materials, and use modifiers to enhance and finalize 3D assets such as doors, spades, pickaxes, and grave structures. By the end, you'll be able to block out and detail key elements for a stylized street scene.
  • Sculpting and Prop Building: Graves, Sack, Barrels, and Crates
    • This module guides learners through advanced modeling techniques in Blender, focusing on sculpting and constructing realistic props such as graves, sacks, barrels, and crates. You will explore multi-resolution sculpting, cloth simulation, UV unwrapping, and optimization workflows to create detailed and believable assets.
  • UV Mapping Props and Building Lanterns and Lamps
    • This module guides learners through advanced 3D modeling techniques, including randomizing planks, using the solidify modifier, and mastering UV mapping for props.
