  • Course Overview
    • In this module, we will introduce you to the course instructor and provide an overview of the training structure. You will get familiarized with the course objectives, key topics, and the tools that will be explored in-depth. This section sets the stage for a successful learning journey in Microsoft Windows Server 2019.
  • Building Your Virtual Lab Environment
    • In this module, we will walk you through the process of setting up your virtual lab environment using VirtualBox. You will learn how to download ISO images, install Server 2019 in both Full GUI and Core configurations, and even create a Windows 10 virtual machine. Additionally, we will teach you how to take snapshots to secure your virtual setups.
  • Building a Windows Server 2019 Domain Using PowerShell
    • In this module, we will guide you through the steps of building a Windows Server 2019 domain using PowerShell. You will learn to prepare your server for domain controller promotion, assign static IPs, install Active Directory Domain Services, and promote your server to a domain controller. Additionally, we will cover how to promote Server Core to a domain controller and add a Windows 10 client to the domain for full integration.
  • Active Directory Administration
    • In this module, we will cover essential Active Directory administrative tasks such as creating users, limiting their logon hours, and managing login permissions across computers.   • Group Policy
    • In this module, we will cover essential Group Policy management techniques, such as preventing automatic logoff due to inactivity and configuring user and computer-specific settings. You will learn how to create, link, and edit Group Policy Objects (GPOs), back them up and restore them, and apply settings like screensaver timeouts and desktop background enforcement. This section will help you streamline administration and enhance control over your networked systems.
  • Domain Naming System (DNS)
    • In this module, we will explore the installation and configuration of Domain Naming System (DNS) services on Server 2019. You will learn how to install DNS using Server Manager, set up backup servers, and create various DNS records, including host and MX records. Additionally, we’ll cover the creation of reverse lookup zones and how to manage DNS for websites and Microsoft Exchange Servers, ensuring efficient name resolution and network communication.
  • DHCP
    • In this module, we will dive into configuring and managing the DHCP role on Windows Server 2019. You will learn how to install the DHCP server, edit scope settings such as DNS and default gateway, and back up or restore your DHCP database. We will also cover advanced features like filtering clients, creating predefined options, and using DHCP user classes to assign alternate settings. This section provides the foundational knowledge you need to optimize DHCP services in your network environment.
  • Disk Management
    • In this module, we will cover essential disk management tasks for Windows Server 2019. You will learn how to add virtual hard disks, manage existing volumes by shrinking or extending them, and format volumes using different file systems like ReFS and FAT32.   • Firewall Administration

    • In this module, we will cover essential troubleshooting techniques for Windows Server and Windows 10 environments. You will learn how to diagnose network issues, use NSLookup for DNS troubleshooting, and leverage tools like the Windows Reliability Monitor and Sysinternals suite. Additionally, we’ll explore Sysinternals Process Explorer, a powerful tool for tracking system performance and managing processes, giving you the knowledge to identify and resolve system issues efficiently.
