Syllabus

  • MODBUS TCP/IP Server
    • In this module, we will introduce you to MODBUS TCP/IP, a widely used protocol for industrial communication. You will explore practical exercises like reading and writing digital and analog I/Os via MODBUS, as well as interfacing with Node-RED and other simulators for visualizing and controlling data in real-time. These exercises will help you integrate and manage IoT data effectively.
  • MODBUS TCP Client
    • In this module, we will demonstrate how to set up the Micro850 PLC as a MODBUS TCP client and communicate with a Delta PLC server. You will gain practical experience in reading and writing data between PLCs and learn how to configure data transfer between different systems.
  • Interfacing with Ignition SCADA via MODBUS TCP
    • In this module, we will cover how to interface your Micro850 PLC with Ignition SCADA using MODBUS TCP/IP. You’ll learn the setup, configuration, and data exchange process to establish seamless communication for industrial automation and real-time control.
  • Interface with Edge Device- SIA Connect
    • In this module, we will guide you through the process of connecting your Micro850 PLC to the SIA Connect edge device using MODBUS TCP/IP, enhancing your system's IoT capabilities. You will also be introduced to EtherNet/IP, extending your PLC’s communication potential for diverse applications.
  • Interfacing with HMI
    • In this module, we will demonstrate how to interface the Micro850 PLC with a Weintek HMI via EtherNet/IP for real-time control and data visualization. You will understand the configuration process and how to achieve seamless communication between the PLC and HMI for industrial automation.
  • Connecting Micro850 PLC to MQTT Broker via Edge device
    • In this module, we will teach you how to connect the Micro850 PLC to an MQTT broker via an edge device, using platforms like HiveMQ and Microsoft Azure IoT Hub. This integration will allow for efficient data transfer and cloud-based control in your IoT systems.
  • Connecting Micro850 PLC to MQTT Broker via Node-RED
    • In this module, we will dive into the use of MQTT in Node-RED for connecting Micro850 PLCs to local MQTT brokers. You'll explore the configuration process and learn how to access and monitor your PLC data remotely on devices like iPhones and Android through the MQTT protocol.
  • Interfacing Micro800 Simulator with 3rd party software
    • In this module, we will explore the capabilities of the Micro800 Simulator for interfacing with Node-RED via APIs and EasyBuilder Pro using EtherNet/IP. This hands-on experience will help you master third-party software integration and use simulation tools for PLC programming and control.
