Syllabus

  • Understanding Structures (Basics)
    • In this module, we will cover the foundational concepts of structures in PLC programming. You will learn how to create a new environment using FACTORY I/O and define structures with various data types. By the end of this section, you will be able to effectively configure environments and utilize data types in your PLC database for optimized programming.
  • Understanding Structures and UDT
    • In this module, we will dive deeper into advanced structures and user-defined data types (UDTs) in PLC programming. You will learn to write functions in SCL for transferring values, optimize your database with additional tags, and implement UDTs for more flexible and efficient programming solutions. This section will also cover the programming of conveyor logic and indicator systems, helping you apply these concepts in real-world automation scenarios.
  • Interfacing RFID with Siemens S7-1200 PLC
    • In this module, we will focus on the integration of RFID systems with Siemens S7-1200 PLCs. You will gain insights into configuring IO-Link masters and ports for RFID operations, writing efficient PLC algorithms, and optimizing your system for seamless communication.   • HMI Lessons on Scripts

You will also learn how to integrate RFID-based user authorization and secure access to HMI systems, enhancing both functionality and security.
  • HMI Lessons on User authorization via RFID Tag
    • In this module, we will explore how to integrate RFID tags with HMI systems to authenticate and authorize users. You will learn to program the PLC to read RFID tags and write scripts in HMI to handle user access, ensuring secure operations in your automation system.
  • HMI Lessons on Layout/theme
    • In this module, we will focus on the customization of HMI layouts and themes. You will learn how to apply themes and configure layouts to improve the aesthetics and functionality of your HMI projects, making them more intuitive and engaging for users.
  • Analog Scaling
    • In this module, we will introduce the concept of analog inputs and scaling in PLC systems. You will learn how to apply scaling formulas for accurate data processing and explore real-world industrial applications that use analog scaling for precise control and measurement.
  • Understanding MODBUS
    • In this module, we will cover the essential concepts of the MODBUS communication protocol. You will learn to define and configure MODBUS servers and clients within the Siemens S7-1200 PLC, enabling seamless data exchange in automation systems.
