Each lesson will start with a short talk to introduce some new ideas and tools before diving into an audio-only, guided meditation. Instructor bio: Justin Michael Williams is an author, transformational speaker, and top-20 recording artist dedicated to diversity and inclusion in wellness. Drawing on his own experiences overcoming adversity, he has shared his message of hope and empowerment around the world, including through his national "Stay Woke, Give Back" tour and his book Stay Woke. In his courses, Justin guides learners in mindfulness, meditation, and personal growth to help them take meaningful action toward the life they want.

Syllabus

  • Getting Started with Modern Meditation
    • This opening module helps you lay the foundation for your meditation practice. You’ll begin by setting a vision for yourself, learning how to commit to consistent action, and overcoming common barriers like self-sabotage. By the end, you’ll have established a clear sense of purpose and direction as you embark on a 10-day meditation journey.
  • Expanding Awareness and Creativity
    • In this module, you’ll push past fear, awaken creativity, and learn to sense and direct your personal energy. Through silence and observation, you’ll expand your awareness and connect more deeply to your own inner landscape. These practices build confidence, spark creativity, and strengthen your self-awareness as you progress.
  • Deepening Practice and Building Rituals
    • The third module is about integration. You’ll experiment with vocal expression, add movement to your meditation practice, and design a ritual tailored to your own needs. By combining techniques you’ve learned, you’ll create a sustainable and meaningful meditation practice you can continue long after the course ends.
  • Quick Practices for Everyday Balance
    • This bonus module provides you with short, powerful meditation practices you can use anytime. Whether you need a quick energy boost, a gratitude reset, or an affirmation of self-worth, these meditations help you integrate mindfulness into your daily life. Each practice is designed to be practical, efficient, and easy to return to whenever you need them.
