The course also covers traffic distribution and network security. You’ll explore Azure Load Balancer, Traffic Manager, Application Gateway, Azure Front Door, service endpoints, private endpoints, Network Security Groups, Application Security Groups, and Azure Firewall. Through concept-driven lessons, guided demonstrations, and practical networking scenarios, you’ll develop the skills needed to design secure and reliable Azure network environments and understand how different Azure networking services work together. Getting Started with Azure Networking
- In this section, you'll build a strong foundation in Azure networking services, learning how to design, connect, and manage secure and scalable network infrastructure in Microsoft Azure. You'll begin by exploring the core Azure networking services and gain an understanding of how virtual networks, DNS, and other networking components enable communication between Azure resources and on-premises environments. As you progress, you'll gain hands-on experience creating and configuring Azure Virtual Networks through guided demonstrations. You'll also explore Azure DNS and learn how it provides reliable name resolution for Azure-hosted applications and services while supporting hybrid and cloud-native architectures. The section further introduces Azure networking concepts, solutions, and best practices, helping you understand how to design secure, high-performing, and resilient network architectures for a variety of Azure workloads. By the end of this section, you'll have a solid understanding of Azure networking fundamentals, including Azure Virtual Networks, Azure DNS, and networking best practices, enabling you to design and manage secure network infrastructures in Microsoft Azure.
Design and Connect Azure Virtual Networks
- In this section, you'll build a strong foundation in designing and connecting Azure Virtual Networks, learning how to configure network components, segment workloads, and establish secure connectivity across Azure and hybrid environments. You'll begin by exploring subnet delegation, shared and dedicated subnets, public IP addresses, and network segmentation to understand how Azure Virtual Networks can be structured for different application and security requirements. As you progress, you'll gain hands-on experience configuring networking components and learn how to map custom DNS names to Azure App Service applications. You'll also explore hybrid networking concepts, including Site-to-Site (S2S) VPN, Point-to-Site (P2S) VPN, Azure ExpressRoute, and Azure WAN, gaining an understanding of how these technologies connect on-premises networks with Azure. The section further introduces Azure NAT Gateway and Azure VPN Gateway, with practical demonstrations of VPN Gateway and gateway subnet configuration. You'll also explore Azure ExpressRoute and understand how dedicated private connectivity can provide reliable and high-performance connections between on-premises infrastructure and Azure. Secure and Optimize Azure Network Traffic
- In this section, you'll build a strong foundation in Azure traffic distribution and network security, learning how to optimize application traffic and protect Azure resources from unauthorized access. You'll begin by exploring Azure load balancing services and gain an understanding of how Azure Load Balancer, Traffic Manager, Application Gateway, and Azure Front Door distribute traffic to improve application availability, performance, and scalability. As you progress, you'll gain hands-on experience configuring Azure Load Balancer, including creating virtual networks, deploying backend pools, connecting virtual machines, and testing traffic distribution. You'll also explore Azure Traffic Manager, Application Gateway, and Azure Front Door to understand how each service supports different application traffic management scenarios. The section further introduces Azure network security capabilities, including service endpoints, private endpoints, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Application Security Groups (ASGs), and Azure Firewall.
