The module also examines quality costs, emphasizing the value of prevention and the impact of internal and external failures on organizational performance.
  • Quality Philosophies & Pioneers
    • This module highlights the contributions of quality pioneers such as Deming, Juran, and Crosby. Learners evaluate Deming’s principles, theory of knowledge, and focus on reducing variation. Juran’s Trilogy and Crosby’s philosophy of “quality is free” are explored, alongside critical perspectives on Taguchi’s methods.
  • TQM Principles & Applications
    • This module examines the foundational principles and practical applications of Total Quality Management (TQM). Learners study Taguchi’s Loss Function, explore its criticisms, and understand the scope of TQM. The role of leadership, quality councils, and continuous improvement models such as PDCA are analyzed to support successful TQM implementation.
  • Customer Focus in TQM
    • This module emphasizes customer-centered approaches and employee involvement in TQM. Learners examine methods of measuring satisfaction, handling feedback and complaints, and fostering engagement.
