Over two weeks, you’ll complete 10 approachable drawing tutorials, starting with charming foods like oranges and donuts, and moving into leafy monstera plants and colorful mushrooms. Along the way, you’ll learn the Procreate interface, create your own canvas template, and explore core digital art techniques like shading, textures, and working with layers. Designed to keep you motivated, each session is short, fun, and easy to follow—even if you’re new to art or haven’t drawn in years. You’ll also use a downloadable Progress Tracker to celebrate your work as you go. By the end of this course, you'll have a growing gallery of digital artwork, a deeper understanding of Procreate, and the momentum to keep your creative practice going strong. Instructor bio: Lisa Bardot is an illustrator, teacher, and creative adventurer based in California. Using the iPad and Procreate as her main tools, she creates digital brushes, tutorials, and resources that help artists of all levels find joy in making art. Through her company Bardot Brush, Lisa designs widely loved Procreate tools, and through Making Art Everyday, she inspires thousands of people with daily prompts and challenges to build confidence and consistency in their creative practice. She also leads Art Maker’s Club, a vibrant community and learning hub for digital artists. Syllabus

  • Getting Started with Procreate
    • In this first module, you’ll get comfortable using Procreate as your creative workspace. You’ll explore the core tools, settings, and export options that support a smooth digital illustration process. You’ll also create a personalized canvas template to streamline your future drawings, and learn how to track your progress using the built-in course tools. By the end, you'll be ready to dive into your first illustration project with confidence.
  • Week 1 — Drawing Food
    • This module kicks off your illustration practice with a playful focus on food. Through step-by-step lessons, you’ll learn to draw five unique food items—like oranges, eggs, and donuts—while practicing shape, texture, and color techniques in Procreate. You’ll reflect on your creative growth and share your artwork with peers to get feedback and build momentum for your next illustrations.
  • Week 2 — Drawing Plants
    • In Week Two, you’ll continue developing your skills with a series of nature-inspired drawings. You’ll illustrate five plant-themed subjects using brush techniques, layering, and thoughtful composition to enhance your style. From cactus and flowers to acorns and mushrooms, you’ll build a cohesive collection of plant illustrations that show off your evolving creative voice.
  • Reflection and Next Steps
    • In this final module, you’ll take time to reflect on your artistic progress and explore how your personal style has grown. You’ll review your completed work, set creative goals for the next phase of your journey, and share insights with peers. This module helps you celebrate your work and prepare for more advanced projects in the upcoming courses.
