Learn how to automate IT change management by connecting ITIL 4 change enablement with CI/CD pipelines and IT service management (ITSM) workflows. Explore how governed automation can reduce approval friction while improving traceability, risk assessment, and deployment resilience. Designed for ITSM, DevOps, platform engineering, and site reliability engineering (SRE) professionals, this course examines standard, normal, and emergency changes and how their authorization requirements shape automation. You'll evaluate Git governance, automated testing, security scans, immutable artifacts, ITSM middleware, event-driven APIs, and CMDB synchronization to support scalable change pipelines across modern and legacy systems. You'll also assess automated risk scoring, tiered approvals, dependency-aware collision detection, SRE error budgets, secure machine authorization, supply chain attestations, and automated rollbacks. Use value stream analytics and governance metrics to identify bottlenecks and inform remediation decisions. What sets this course apart is its integrated focus on delivery pipelines, ITIL governance, and operational resilience. By the end, you'll be able to evaluate change automation architectures, select risk-based safeguards for enterprise deployments, and plan a phased adoption strategy.

Syllabus
