You will learn how to apply privacy-by-design principles and implement the minimum necessary standard in everyday organizational operations. Through hands-on activities, you will practice evaluating data handling scenarios and selecting appropriate protection measures. By the end of this module, you will be able to design and implement privacy controls suitable for diverse healthcare settings.
  • Breach Prevention, Detection, and Response
    • In this module, you will learn how to prevent, detect, and respond to healthcare data privacy breaches. You will examine risk assessment methodologies, vulnerability management practices, and detection mechanisms. The module covers incident response processes, breach notification requirements, and post-incident analysis. You will practice evaluating potential breach scenarios, determining notification obligations, and implementing corrective actions as a healthcare practitioner or leader. Through realistic scenarios, you will develop skills in breach investigation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
