Ethical AI: Balancing Tech and Humanity

In this section, learners explore how the introduction of artificial intelligence shifts the ethical responsibilities of a standard agile team. Rather than viewing ai as a complete replacement for human workflows, this module analyzes how product owners, developers, scrum masters, and stakeholders must individually uphold core agile values like transparency and collaboration to use technology responsibly. Learners will examine how developers build bias-aware, privacy-respecting algorithms and how product owners preserve organizational ethics while leveraging ai for user value. By studying these distinct accountabilities, learners establish a foundational understanding of data bias and the boundaries of ethical ai usage.

Scrum Master Support Lab

This section transitions from high-level ethical team frameworks into practical, hands-on operational guidelines specifically for the scrum master. Learners will interact with a case study detailing how to use generative ai safely to streamline administrative, analytical, and data-intensive tasks—such as tracking metrics, suggesting retrospective formats, or finding pattern trends in text feedback—without over-delegating their core human responsibilities. This module outlines a structured reflection method for validating whether an ai implementation is safe (evaluating if tasks are generative, iterative, and under sufficient human oversight). Ultimately, this section provides strict guardrails that protect the uniquely human elements of agile leadership—such as trust-building, empathy, navigating complex organizational politics, and real-time facilitation—ensuring machines support people rather than replacing human judgment.
