By the end of this course, learners will be able to manipulate vertices, construct fragment shaders, create glass and water effects, optimize shader performance, and implement screen-based image adjustments in Unity. Learners will explore vertex animation and extrusion techniques before creating snow coverage, volumetric explosions, transparent surfaces, distortion effects, and GrabPass shaders.
The course then introduces practical approaches for profiling and improving shader efficiency. Learners will use performance tools, develop mobile-friendly shaders, and apply optimization techniques that balance visual quality with runtime requirements. They will also create post-processing effects for depth, brightness, saturation, and contrast.
Completing this course will enable learners to produce dynamic visuals while making informed performance decisions for games, simulations, and interactive applications. What makes the course distinctive is its integration of creative shader development with technical optimization. Learners do not simply create visual effects; they also examine how those effects influence performance and how to adjust them for different devices and project requirements.
