Learn to convert a clear movement priority into a targeted corrective exercise sequence. Building from screening logic, this course focuses on exercise selection, coaching, and progression for mobility, stability, motor control, and strength needs. You will work with breathing and readiness strategies, functional core support, shoulder mobility, scapular and rotator cuff control, hip and psoas-focused options, glute activation, calf and Achilles loading, and posterior-chain development. The course avoids one-size-fits-all prescriptions. Instead, you will learn to match each exercise to the client’s observed need, choose an appropriate starting position, monitor movement quality and symptom response, and progress one variable at a time. Decision checks and sequencing activities help you recognize when an exercise fits, when it should be adjusted, and when a different strategy is required. By the end of the course, you will be able to build a Corrective Exercise Strategy Plan that connects a defined priority to preparation, mobility or activation, integration, strengthening, carryover, and reassessment.

Syllabus

  • Module 1: Course Orientation and Corrective Exercise Selection
    • Connect screening priorities to exercise choice and establish a clear test-select-coach-recheck process for corrective programming.
  • Module 2: Preparation Strategies for Corrective Exercise
    • Use breathing, nervous-system readiness, and functional core strategies to prepare clients for higher-quality corrective work.
  • Module 3: Upper-Body Mobility and Control
    • Progress from shoulder and chest preparation to scapular control, rotator cuff function, integrated strength, and an upper-body corrective decision check.
  • Module 4: Lumbopelvic and Hip Corrective Strategies
    • Apply psoas-informed reasoning, graded lengthening options, and hip mobility flows to improve usable range and lumbopelvic control.
  • Module 5: Lower-Body Corrective Progressions and Sequencing
    • Develop glute, calf, Achilles, hamstring, and posterior-chain capacity, then organize selected exercises into a concise corrective sequence.
  • Module 6: Course Summary
    • Integrate regional exercise choices into a complete corrective strategy and prepare to demonstrate selection, sequencing, coaching, and progression decisions.
