By the end of this course, you will be able to choose the right leadership approach between coaching, managing, and mentoring; deliver structured feedback using proven workplace frameworks; conduct goal-oriented coaching conversations using the GROW model; and convert performance reviews into actionable development plans. You will also learn how to diagnose performance issues, handle emotionally difficult conversations, build practical improvement plans, and use everyday feedback, recognition, and delegation techniques to sustain high-performing teams. Designed with real workplace scenarios, templates, and coaching simulations, this course gives supervisors and managers immediately applicable tools to become stronger people leaders.

  • Foundations of Coaching and Feedback
    • This module introduces the core concepts of people development by clarifying the differences between coaching, managing, and mentoring, building effective feedback skills, and cultivating a coaching mindset that supports employee growth and ownership.
  • Structuring Performance and Development Conversations
    • This module focuses on structuring high-quality performance and development conversations using proven models such as GROW, Individual Development Plans, performance reviews, and goal-alignment frameworks.
  • Managing Underperformance and Difficult Conversations
    • This module equips leaders to diagnose underperformance accurately, manage emotional dynamics, and conduct improvement and accountability conversations that balance support with clear expectations.
  • Building a Culture of Continuous Improvement
    • This module shifts focus from individual conversations to team-level systems, helping leaders embed feedback, recognition, learning, delegation, and reflection into everyday work practices.
