Syllabus

Understanding Claude & Safety

This module introduces learners to Claude’s core capabilities, how it interprets instructions, and the principles behind Constitutional AI. Learners explore how safety rules guide Claude’s behavior, how to work with long documents, and how to recognize safe, unsafe, and refusal-triggering prompts. Through guided hands-on tasks, learners build a foundational understanding of Claude’s processing, safety mechanisms, and responsible use.

Core Prompting Techniques

This module focuses on developing strong prompting skills using structured techniques. Learners explore how roles, tone, and context shape Claude’s responses and practice applying zero-shot, few-shot, and chain-of-thought prompting. Through hands-on activities, learners learn to diagnose unclear prompts, refine instructions, and design effective prompts tailored to specific tasks and communication styles.

Advanced Integration and Deployment

This module expands learners’ skills into real-world integrations, reasoning tasks, and deployment workflows. Learners work with Claude across productivity and engineering tools, apply structured reasoning frameworks, and use Claude Code for generation and debugging tasks. The module concludes with practical exercises that help learners evaluate outputs, improve automation workflows, and apply Claude effectively in everyday work scenarios.
