Clarity and Style in Writing

This course will focus, in particular, on clarity and style in academic writing. We will examine strategies for conveying emphasis in our academic writing, methods for writing in a clear and direct style, various rules for proper word usage in academic writing, and commonly misused words to avoid in professional and academic writing.
