Syllabus

  • The Scrum Team
    • Great products are not built by lone individuals; they are delivered by highly collaborative, optimized teams. This module introduces learners to the core architecture, purpose, and key characteristics of a high-performing Scrum team. Students will explore the distinct accountabilities of the Product Owner, the Scrum Master, and the Developers, moving past rigid job titles to understand how these roles function fluidly within the Scrum framework. By unpacking modern team structures—including the value of cross-functional skill sets, self-management, and T-shaped or Pi ($\pi$)-shaped profiles—learners will discover how to cultivate an environment of psychological safety, shared accountability, and continuous improvement necessary for real-world agility.
  • How the Scrum Team Works Together
    • Agile frameworks come to life through structured, purposeful iteration. This module dives deep into how a Scrum team collaborates, inspects, and adapts across the five core Scrum events: Sprints, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives. Grounded firmly in the empirical pillars of transparency, inspection, and adaptation, learners will examine how these events eliminate organizational friction, align stakeholders, and shield developers from external distractions. Through immersive, real-world case studies spanning the E-commerce, Education, and Finance sectors, students will analyze exactly how each role handles unexpected roadblocks, security considerations, and regulatory compliance to consistently deliver a high-quality product increment.
