Building an Azure environment is only half the job. Keeping it protected, observable, and resilient is what separates a junior admin from a trusted operator. This course covers the Day 2 skills that make that difference — and closes with the exam preparation you need to earn your AZ-104 certification.
The data protection module covers Azure Backup in full: protecting files, folders, and virtual machines, managing backup jobs through Backup Center, comparing recovery options, and enabling soft delete to guard against accidental or malicious deletion. Azure Site Recovery extends that protection to full workload failover, supporting both cloud and on-premises environments.
The monitoring module gives you visibility into what's happening across your Azure resources. You'll use Azure Monitor and Activity Logs to track resource health and administrative events, enable and query Log Analytics Workspaces to investigate operational data, and write KQL (Kusto Query Language) queries to surface performance issues and anomalies. Azure Alerts complete the picture — letting you set up proactive, automated notifications before issues escalate.
The final module is dedicated to AZ-104 exam readiness. You'll work through case studies and a full mock exam designed to surface gaps across all exam domains, identify where to focus your remaining revision, and build the exam-day confidence you need.
Who this is for: Aspiring Azure Administrators and IT Professionals responsible for cloud uptime, backup, and performance monitoring, completing their preparation for the AZ-104 certification exam.
