Syllabus

  • Governance & Monitoring
    • In this section, you'll build a strong foundation in AWS governance, monitoring, and compliance services, learning how to centrally manage AWS accounts, monitor resource health, and maintain compliance across AWS environments. You'll begin by exploring AWS Organizations and gain an understanding of how it simplifies multi-account management, governance, and policy enforcement across an organization. As you progress, you'll discover how Amazon CloudWatch enables real-time monitoring of AWS resources and applications through metrics, logs, and monitoring agents. Through practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises, you'll learn how to configure CloudWatch, collect and analyze logs using the CloudWatch Logs Agent and Unified Agent, and gain operational insights to proactively monitor application and infrastructure performance. The section further introduces AWS Config, which continuously assesses resource configurations and evaluates compliance against organizational policies. You'll gain hands-on experience creating AWS Config and Amazon SNS topics to monitor compliance status and receive notifications when configuration changes occur. You'll also explore AWS CloudTrail and learn how it records API activity and account events to support auditing, governance, troubleshooting, and security investigations. By the end of this section, you'll have a solid understanding of AWS governance, monitoring, and compliance services, including AWS Organizations, Amazon CloudWatch, AWS Config, and AWS CloudTrail, enabling you to effectively manage AWS environments, monitor operational health, and maintain security and compliance.
  • Automation & Operational Excellence
    • In this section, you'll build a strong foundation in AWS infrastructure automation and operational management, learning how to automate resource provisioning, optimize cloud workloads, and improve operational efficiency using AWS management services. You'll begin by exploring AWS CloudFormation and gain an understanding of how Infrastructure as Code (IaC) enables consistent, repeatable, and automated deployment of AWS resources through templates. As you progress, you'll gain hands-on experience creating, updating, and managing CloudFormation stacks while learning best practices for infrastructure lifecycle management. You'll also explore AWS Compute Optimizer, AWS Trusted Advisor, and AWS Health Dashboard to understand how these services provide recommendations for improving performance, cost optimization, security, fault tolerance, and operational health across AWS environments. The section further introduces AWS Systems Manager, enabling you to centrally manage, automate, and maintain AWS resources at scale. Through practical demonstrations, you'll also revisit AWS Config, AWS Config Rules, AWS Trusted Advisor, Amazon Macie, and AWS Organizations to reinforce governance, compliance, security monitoring, and operational best practices within AWS environments. By the end of this section, you'll have a solid understanding of AWS infrastructure automation and operational management services, including AWS CloudFormation, AWS Systems Manager, AWS Compute Optimizer, AWS Trusted Advisor, and AWS Health Dashboard, enabling you to automate deployments, optimize cloud resources, and efficiently manage AWS environments.
