This course teaches you to produce professional training videos, slide decks, and documentation using AI — turning what once took days of editing into an afternoon's work. You'll learn to record any process and generate a polished tutorial with narration, captions, and a written guide from the same session. You'll build training decks from prompts or existing documents, create a consistent AI voice for your organisation, produce narration in multiple languages, and build a custom avatar that delivers your material to camera. Working across Trupeer, Gamma, ElevenLabs, and HeyGen, you'll connect four tools into one repeatable workflow rather than learning them in isolation. Every lesson is hands-on, using real corporate learning scenarios — onboarding programmes, system walkthroughs, compliance refreshers. What makes this course different is its focus on judgement alongside production. You'll learn which tool to reach for, how to keep material accurate as systems change, when an AI presenter is appropriate and when it isn't, and how your recordings accumulate into a searchable knowledge base your team can draw on. Whether you're a learning designer, an L&D manager, or the person who ends up making the training videos, you'll leave able to produce quickly, consistently, and at scale.

Syllabus

Foundations of AI Video in L&D
- This module establishes why video has become the format learners engage with most, and why producing it has traditionally been out of reach for small learning teams. You will look at the practical constraints that shape what gets made and what gets postponed, and at how AI production tools change that calculation. You will also meet the four tools used throughout the course and see how they connect into a single pipeline, before producing your first narrated tutorial from a screen recording. The module closes with the instructional design principles that make video work as a learning medium, so that speed of production is matched by soundness of design.
Getting Started with Trupeer
- This module covers screen recording as the foundation of most workplace training content, and introduces Trupeer as both a production tool and a knowledge layer for the organisation. You will examine what the AI handles automatically and what still requires your judgement, from zoom placement to the blurring of sensitive information. You will then work through the settings that give your material a consistent identity — voice profiles, brand kits, terminology and reusable templates — before turning to how finished content reaches learners. The module concludes with the knowledge base, where recordings accumulate into a searchable body of organisational knowledge that both colleagues and AI tools can draw on.
Designing Training Decks with Gamma AI
- This module addresses the slide materials that accompany and support video training. You will learn to write prompts that give the AI what it needs to produce a usable first draft, distinguishing between context that belongs in the prompt and settings that are controlled through the interface. You will then work from an existing document — a course outline or procedure — and examine the decisions that determine how faithfully your original wording is preserved. The module also covers applying organisational branding through custom themes, and connecting slide materials to the screen recordings.
Creating AI Avatar Training Videos with HeyGen & ElevenLabs
- This module covers the two tools that supply a human presence on screen. You will examine how voice and avatar operate as separate layers, and why that separation makes training material inexpensive to update. You will create a synthetic voice — either designed from a description or cloned from a recording — and produce narration in additional languages from existing material. You will then build a custom avatar from your own footage and connect it to the voice you have created. The module closes by combining an avatar introduction with a screen recording, and by considering where an avatar is the right choice for training content and where it is not.
Integrating Your Tools into a Seamless Workflow
- This module brings the four tools together into a repeatable process. You will work through a decision framework that determines which tool to begin with, based on where your content already exists, who needs to appear on screen, where the material is going, and how often it will change. You will also distinguish between the assets that are configured once and the content that flows through them — the separation that turns four separate tools into a workflow. The module concludes with practical guidance on establishing your setup, adopting naming conventions, and selecting a first project that can realistically be completed.
