This course is designed to equip learners with intermediate to advanced Agile competencies essential for delivering high-impact outcomes in dynamic environments. Through a structured progression across four key modules, participants will apply Agile release and iteration planning techniques, evaluate decision-making models within collaborative teams, and lead reflective practices such as retrospectives and Extreme Programming (XP) iterations. The course emphasizes both strategic and tactical dimensions of Agile: from Lean thinking and technical practices to stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and the use of actionable metrics. Learners will gain the ability to synthesize Agile governance principles with modern leadership practices to foster sustainable delivery and high-performing teams. Each lesson encourages learners to apply, analyze, and evaluate Agile concepts using real-world scenarios, reinforced by practice and graded assessments. By the end of the course, learners will be equipped to not only execute Agile processes but also to mentor teams, optimize value delivery, and lead Agile transformations with confidence.

Syllabus

  • Agile Release & Iteration Planning
    • This module provides a structured understanding of how Agile teams effectively plan product releases and iterations. It introduces learners to foundational planning techniques used to align stakeholders, manage scope, and forecast delivery timelines in dynamic environments. Through lessons on decision-making models and team collaboration approaches, learners gain practical strategies for fostering inclusive, adaptive planning cycles in Agile projects.
  • Monitoring, Retrospectives & XP
    • This module equips learners with Agile practices that support continuous improvement, transparency, and technical excellence. It begins with the principles and tools of monitoring Agile work and evolves into effective retrospective frameworks that help teams inspect and adapt. The module further explores the foundational values of Extreme Programming (XP), including courage, simplicity, respect, and feedback, before introducing XP's core engineering practices and lifecycle. Learners will develop the skills to foster disciplined development environments that support sustainable pace, shared ownership, and quality-focused delivery.
  • XP Advanced & Lean Thinking
    • This module expands learners’ understanding of Extreme Programming (XP) by diving into advanced technical practices, continuous delivery, and collaborative engineering workflows. It also introduces Lean principles for eliminating waste, optimizing value flow, and embedding quality throughout the development process. Through a practical exploration of Kanban systems and pull-based workflows, learners gain actionable strategies to visualize work, manage capacity, and streamline software delivery. The module prepares teams to combine XP and Lean practices for sustainable, value-driven development in Agile environments.
  • Team Collaboration, Risk & Metrics
    • This module focuses on building effective communication and collaboration within Agile teams while equipping learners with the skills to manage risk and apply Agile metrics and governance frameworks. Participants will explore how to create a collaborative team environment, engage stakeholders effectively, manage risks organically, and measure Agile performance using meaningful metrics. The module also introduces Agile leadership principles and the importance of soft skills in fostering a high-performing Agile culture.
