Executive leadership isn't about a single moment of brilliance — it's about the consistent daily habits that compound into the judgment, presence, and impact that genuine leaders are known for. The leaders who last build deliberate practices for how they show up to themselves, to their work, to the people they lead, and to the decisions that shape their organizations. In this course, you'll build a complete set of 20 habits that span four dimensions of executive life. You'll establish grounded-self practices that anchor your identity and steady you under pressure, install disciplined-self routines that protect your focus and energy, develop relational habits that strengthen the trust and connection your people need from you, and adopt habits of mind that sharpen your thinking, deepen your communication, and improve your decisions. By the end, you'll have a working framework of leadership habits you can install one at a time, the practical tools to make each habit stick, and a clearer picture of the kind of executive presence you want to grow into over the next decade of your career.

Syllabus

  • Habits for the Grounded Self
    • Executive effectiveness begins from the inside out, and without a clear sense of who you are, what drives you, and what keeps you steady under pressure, even strong strategy and skilled execution can fall apart. In this module, you'll build five foundational habits that anchor your identity, clarify your purpose, and equip you to face the noise, pressure, and anxiety of executive life with genuine steadiness and courage.
  • Habits for the Disciplined Self
    • The challenge of executive leadership isn't just knowing what to do, it's doing it consistently, even when motivation fades and the calendar fills up. In this module, you'll build six core habits of self-discipline that sharpen your focus, protect your energy, and equip you to produce the kind of work that sets executive leaders apart.
  • Habits for the Relational Self
    • The leaders who last — and the ones others genuinely want to follow — almost always have something in common: they've built the habits that make real human connection possible. In this module, you'll apply five relationship habits — cultivating gratitude, staying curious, assuming positive intent, inspiring your people, and growing your network — so you can lead with greater authenticity and build the kind of trust that strengthens your team from the inside out.
  • Habits for the Discerning Self
    • The executives who navigate complexity with the most clarity aren't always the ones with the most experience — they're the ones who've built deliberate habits of mind that sharpen their thinking, ground their decisions, and give their communication real depth. In this module, you'll apply four habits of discerning leadership — seeking the right guidance, practicing vision storytelling, filtering your decisions, and reading widely — so you can think with greater clarity, communicate with more conviction, and build the kind of judgment your organization can genuinely rely on.
