You will learn how wine is produced, how to interpret and understand wine labels, develop essential wine tasting and discussion skills, familiarize yourself with important grape varieties and wine styles, and gain knowledge about purchasing wine, proper storage techniques, correct service methods, and food pairing principles.
The tasting component features six carefully selected wines that highlight the key structural elements of wine, showcase various wine styles, and represent major grape varieties from different regions.

- If you purchase a tasting kit, it may be picked up at San Francisco Wine School or delivered to locations throughout the United States.
- Wine parameter lists are available for those who are participating remotely in locations where kit delivery is not available. View pickup and delivery options here.
- Participants who would like to attend online without participating in the wine tastings can select the "Skip the Wine" option.
