This foundation-level class focuses on the three key elements of great ramen: the broth, the noodles, and the toppings. You’ll start by learning the essentials of umami as you simmer dried shiitake mushrooms, kombu, and bonito flakes to build a flavorful base. Then, you’ll master the art of the soft-boiled egg, prepare your aromatics and vegetables, and craft a rich seasoning blend featuring soy sauce, miso, and sesame oil. Finally, you’ll cook your noodles and bring it all together into a beautifully layered bowl of ramen—ready to eat and admire!
Each participant receives a Ramen Kit delivered to their door, including all the core ingredients such as miso, seaweed, dried mushrooms, noodles, sesame oil, and chili oil packets. All you’ll need are a few fresh items—like your protein of choice, eggs, and vegetables—and basic kitchen tools.
