Vertical Brushstrokes in the Style of a Tapestry (Live Online)

We will try something new in this project and change our brushwork from ordinary to vertical. This formal shift of the orientation of brush marks will create a tapestry-like style. Despite this technical uniformity, each artist will be able to achieve an absolutely unique and distinctive difference in the appearance of their piece. You will paint from a photo-reference of your own, so please take time to find a photograph that you love. The value of doing the familiar subject in an unfamiliar way is creative expansion, your awareness of how many tools are in your hands - and that your tools go beyond your brushes, it also includes technique - which will help you grow as an artist.
