This course extends the foundational principles covered in the Pro Tools Fundamentals I (PT101) course. This advanced training introduces the core concepts and professional techniques you need to confidently operate a Pro Tools system with mid to large-sized recording sessions. Throughout this course, you will learn to build professional sessions suitable for commercial recording and distribution, and improve the quality of your recording, editing, and mixing work. Hands-on exercises provide practical experience in session setup, importing media files, working with digital video content, spotting and placing sound effects, using loop recording and MIDI Merge techniques, working with virtual instruments, applying Elastic Audio warping technology, utilizing Real-Time Properties, creating clip loops and patterns, applying professional signal processing, using automation techniques, and working with submixes and track groups to streamline the final mix. Together with Pro Tools Fundamentals I, this course provides the preparation required to successfully complete the Avid Certified User: Pro Tools certification examination.
