Matt Smith has been working in the voiceover industry for the past two decades. After graduating from Emerson College, he worked as an assistant at Maura Tighe Casting in Boston for two years before moving to NYC to take a job at Paradigm Talent Agency. Matt worked as an assistant in Paradigm’s commercial voiceover department and, with a lot of hard work and minimal All About Eve-ing, was promoted to VO agent after two short years. He worked as an agent at Paradigm for nine years, during which time he handled Paradigm’s in-house commercial auditions (so he’s spent a lot of time directing in the VO booth), while also working with various casting directors and producers. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Paradigm laid off its entire commercial/VO department in March 2020, but Matt’s voiceover adventure hardly ended there! Without missing a beat, Matt and two of his Paradigm VO colleagues landed at KMR, where they stayed until March 2024. At that time, the inimitable DPN brought them onboard to start their East Coast office, which is where Matt currently works. He takes great pride in being a part of the voiceover industry (which is a business, but should also be FUN) and has many years of insight. Matt’s current client bookings include Charmin, Quickbooks, Cascade, Verizon, Cobenfy, United Airlines, Cheez-It, and Ace Hardware to name a few.
