This course is for students who have completed Introduction to Music Theory or who have some other basic background in the subject.
We'll begin with a quick review of major and minor keys, modes, intervals and triads, and progress to sevenths and other chords, using chords within the context of a key (chord progressions), how modes affect the accompaniment of tunes and songs, and the basic elements of writing and improvising counterpoint.
