Hajimemashite! Our Japanese language courses serve students with minimal or no background in Japanese, taught by experienced native instructors who are committed to guiding you through every stage of learning. Classes meet once weekly for 90-minute sessions in small groups with a maximum of seven students, creating an ideal environment for language acquisition and cultural exploration.
In this foundational course, you will build basic vocabulary and master essential conversational topics necessary for everyday interaction. You will practice authentic Japanese greetings and develop confidence in typical daily situations. Additionally, you will receive an introduction to the Japanese writing system, including hiragana and katakana scripts, along with basic kanji characters that form the foundation of written Japanese. By the end of the course, you will have developed fundamental communication abilities and literacy skills in Japanese.
