Overview

DaVinci Resolve 15 is an industry-standard software platform for professional editing, compositing, audio mixing, and color grading that provides comprehensive control over the final delivery and quality of your project. This course takes you through a series of practical projects in which you will learn a wide variety of professional workflows, effects, and tools necessary to perform professional-level work in post-production. Students will learn the essential foundations of contrast and color balance and quickly begin to explore the many advanced professional features Resolve has to offer in the post-production workflow.

  • Operating primary and secondary grading tools with confidence and expertise

  • Managing and copying grades with the help of stills, versions, and ColorTrace features
  • Navigating the Fusion page and creating professional composites within the Resolve workflow
  • Applying OpenFX filters and effects to repair, enhance, and stylize media effectively
  • Understanding the classic grading workflow and its translation to the modern Groups feature
  • Optimizing render cache and delivery settings for optimal quality and efficiency

Prerequisites:

The following are highly recommended: DR201 course completion or equivalent hands-on experience with color grading software.
