This class examines renowned denominations such as Ciro, Primitivo di Manduria, and Salice Salentino, among many others. Students will explore each region's geography, the grape varieties behind the wines, their distinctive styles, their significance within the Italian wine canon, and an introduction to the regional foods and cultures that pair so naturally with them.
A portion of the session is reserved for a review of other southern Italian regions explored in previous classes, reinforcing prior knowledge and building a more complete picture of this richly diverse wine territory.
