This beginner path introduces Julia’s core syntax and programming concepts. You will work with numbers, booleans, strings, variables, and operators before learning to organize data with arrays, dictionaries, and other collections.
You will use conditional logic and loops to control program behavior, then add error handling to manage unexpected situations. You will also define reusable functions, work with different argument patterns, and apply functional programming techniques to transform data.
Finally, you will explore Julia’s type system and multiple dispatch. By defining custom types and specialized function behavior, you will learn how Julia structures flexible and efficient programs. No prior Julia experience is required.
