TV Whitespaces for Museums and Archives

TV white spaces are a new open resource, ideally suited for libraries, museums , modern day schools and other community institutions involved in public service.

Going forward , I believe it will further explore their role as community anchors promoting access through strategic technology integration which eventually will lead to enhanced civic engagement, cultural opportunities, and economic vitality to communities.

I must compliment the faculty, Ms. Kristen Rebmann and her entire team for preparing this comprehensive module aligned with some best practices and interesting case studies and providing the participants with a solid and intuitive understanding of this mysterious unused portion of the UHF spectrum called “white space,” Coming from engineering background with hands on in DSP projects , this course is a value addition and have clarified and addressed lot of doubts I had previously in terms of :

1) Design rules, architecture, and algorithm of dynamic spectrum access in DTV white space
2) Compatibility challenges for broadcast networks
3) Cognitive networking challenges, such as spectrum sensing and geo-location

I definitely recommend this course for engineers, managers, and researchers who are interested in understanding white space networking and cognition in global perspective
