It gets you thinking about your own plan/idea. The course explains the difference between technology push and market pull approaches and thinking about the market one is aiming for and who the competition is. The course presents ways to develop a business model and all the different aspects that come into that. It also discusses different aspects of IP and technology transfer. There are video interviews with founders of companies that are very interesting. I was not too thrilled with the multiple choice exams. at least 2 questions were wrong (answers switched) and many of the seems nit-picky because even though I had reviewed the material well some "correct" answers seemed to hang on a detail or in my opinion could be argued against. In spite of this it was well worth the effort and I learned a lot.

Great course, it provides a lot of content and depth on Biotech ventures and how to start not just a Biotech business, but any business. The highlight of the course was hearing from other founders and gaining a little of their insight on what they found to be important, the challenges their businesses faced, and what topics and issues to prioritise early. My biggest issue with the course is that the assessment quizzes after each module often had vague answers, making it much harder to understand and choose the right answers, so I found myself getting a lot of questions wrong which I feel were correct based on the course material. Overall, this course is great knowledge into the field of Biotech, and is a great experience for anyone who wants to found a business.
