AI Management Essentials equips professionals with the knowledge and practical tools needed to manage artificial intelligence responsibly, confidently, and effectively. As AI increasingly shapes how organizations operate, innovate, and make decisions, it also introduces new risks — including unpredictable system behaviour, data quality challenges, ethical concerns, regulatory obligations, and wider societal impacts. This course adopts a risk‑based approach to AI management, placing anticipation, transparency, and informed decision‑making at the centre of responsible AI adoption. Learners will explore how risk‑based thinking helps organizations identify potential AI‑related events, assess their likelihood and impact, and implement proportionate controls that protect value while enabling innovation. The course examines key sources of AI risk, including human–AI interactions, model behaviour, data governance, and organizational oversight gaps. It also demonstrates how structured AI management systems and governance frameworks can strengthen accountability, resilience, and trust in AI‑enabled systems. Through practical scenarios, real‑world examples, and guided activities, participants gain hands‑on experience applying internationally recognized standards, including ISO/IEC 42001 (AI Management Systems) and ISO/IEC 23894 (AI Risk Management). By the end of the course, learners will be better prepared to support ethical, compliant, and sustainable AI use within their organizations.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming how we live, work, and interact with technology, driving innovation across industries and society. While AI offers significant benefits, its growing influence also introduces critical risks and responsibilities. As AI systems become more powerful and widespread, organisations must understand, assess, and manage their impact on individuals, communities, and society. This is where AI impact assessments play a vital role. An AI impact assessment is a structured evaluation of how an AI system may affect key areas such as privacy, security, fairness, transparency, and ethics. It helps organizations identify potential risks, benefits, and unintended consequences before and during the deployment of AI technologies, supporting responsible and trustworthy AI adoption. This course equips you with the knowledge and practical tools to conduct effective AI system impact assessments, either as a standalone activity or as part of an ISO/IEC 42001:2023 AI management system. You will gain a clear understanding of AI governance principles and how to apply them to ensure compliant, ethical, and responsible use of AI within your organization.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming integral to how organizations operate, innovate, and compete. However, to realize its benefits, AI must be implemented in a responsible, well‑governed, and transparent way. This course introduces ISO/IEC 42001:2023, the world’s first international Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS) standard. You will explore how the standard helps organizations improve performance, manage AI‑related risks, and support trustworthy and ethical use of AI. The course also covers ISO/IEC 22989:2023, the normative reference that defines the foundational AI concepts and terminology essential to effective AI management. Designed to complement existing knowledge of management system standards, this course provides a clear and practical introduction to AI concepts and AI systems. It equips learners with the understanding needed to support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of an AI management system within an organization.

The European Union Artificial Intelligence Act (EU AI Act) is a landmark regulatory framework designed to govern the development, deployment, and use of artificial intelligence across the EU. Its goal is to promote trustworthy, ethical, and responsible AI while reducing risks to safety, fundamental rights, and democratic values. The EU AI Act applies to organizations both within and outside the European Union, wherever AI systems are placed on the EU market or impact EU citizens. This EU AI Act training course provides a clear, practical overview of the Act’s key articles, scope, and obligations, helping organizations understand how to achieve and maintain compliance. Learners will gain essential knowledge to support effective AI governance, risk management, and regulatory readiness under the EU AI Act.
