What We Know and Don't Know About Searching for Alien Life

This was an impressive course with Dr. Frank hosted by Dr Lua. Covering subjects like the Drake Equation and the L Factor with studies on how it's possible to detect organic molecules through light detection. The importance of this in the discovery and detection of life on other planets and using CFC's to terraform Mars. Also, looking into faster than light travel and techno signatures like turning asteroids into space cities is an important look into the future of where the study of space and the search for life beyond this planet will take us. Imagine living in a space city that sits on your favorite asteroid. What are the reasons that we might look into asteroids as a viable place to put a space city? There are all types of dangers to think of when talking about landing on a habitable or potentially habitable planet but asteroids, though some at loss for an atmosphere, are more likely to be easily privatized. I appreciate the reading recommendations too like the Mars Trilogy. Thank you, this was a good course.
