Learn the mathematical foundations of Einstein's general relativity theory through this comprehensive 8-part video series that takes a visual and intuitive approach to complex concepts. Begin with fundamental concepts of spacetime and worldlines, then progress through spacetime velocity and geodesics before diving into the metric tensor that describes the geometry of curved spacetime. Explore how curvature works in the context of general relativity, understand energy fluxes and their role in the theory, and build up to the famous Einstein field equations that relate matter and energy to spacetime curvature. Conclude with a summary that ties all concepts together and examines practical applications of general relativity. Master the mathematical framework behind one of physics' most elegant theories through clear explanations that make advanced concepts accessible while maintaining mathematical rigor.

I feel the course provided a lot of good information about the math, but it was more of a summation of how it worked than really showing how it was used to develop the equations that are used. It described the basics of the equations, but then took a leap of faith to the final conclusions of how they’re used in the concrete examples. It’s worth taking the course to get a feeling for what you want to learn and need to look at further.
