When Is an Exception Not an Exception? Using Warnings in Python

This talk explains how to use Python warnings to report problems that should be visible but do not warrant an exception. It covers generating, filtering, and redirecting warnings, as well as converting selected warnings into exceptions and handling them with callbacks.
