This course develops intermediate-to-advanced mechanics of materials through stress and strain transformation, beam and shaft design, pressure vessels, deflection and indeterminate-beam methods, strain energy, Castigliano's theorem, and column buckling. It reviews foundational torsion and bending concepts before applying these methods to design problems.
