Space, AI, and Frontier Technologies - Mining in Space with AstroForge

This was an interesting discussion in a course as the main speaker Matt (Gialach) of AstroForge, Ceo talks about space mining of asteroids mainly and some of the process as a sample given are the two biggest asteroids Vesta and Ceres that are on target with Dawn to operate a Flyby, next to land then work through an unmanned Rover to mine for samples and return them. Also, as another project reflecting the process of mining with frontier technologies with translucent injection with Falcon 9 sending it above and onward to deep space to the asteroid to reach 1 kilometer from the asteroid in order to photograph and study the surface and deeper (before mining). This project could last up to two years. Using Nasa mapping and cubsats per Jim Green approximately 30,000 of the 60,000 asteroids have been found. Indicating a large potential market for space mining of asteroids and also other worthwhile missions like space and asteroid photography and observation above and on surface Rover sampling. At the it might have been that Dr. Jeff brought into answer questions gave a good synopsis and reasoning to pursue space mining with technologies included of course "If no one does it we're never going to get there."
