Performance Matters

This talk explains why performance optimization is difficult on modern hardware and presents Stabilizer for statistically sound evaluation and Coz for causal profiling. It demonstrates how these tools identify optimization opportunities in concurrent applications and improve systems such as Memcached and SQLite.
