This seminar talk from the Symplectic Geometry Seminar series explores the relationship between the contact version of the Hofer norm and positive loops of contactomorphisms. Learn about a new criterion for the existence of contractible positive loops in terms of open book decompositions, which leads to previously unknown examples of non-orderable contact manifolds.
