What are mushrooms? What about molds? Lichens? We've all heard the word "fungi" before, so what are those, are they plants? They are not! Fungi actually belong to their own kingdom, just like animals and plants each have their own kingdom, and these are absolutely fascinating organisms which deserve their own series. The study of fungi is called mycology, so join me as we discuss the various taxa within this kingdom, and the absolutely incredible morphologies and properties of the organisms within!

I am learning to be a Mycologist for my company! I went to school for Botany and did 6 years of E. coli work with fermentation for pharmaceuticals. I now work R+D for a different company and I need to give a presentation going over the basics for two of the mushrooms we are working on. This is an AWESOME starting place for me and I feel way more informed for this.

As a botanist, I will say, plants do move... many radically! But other than that, I have exactly 0 complaints. You did a wonderful job, thank you so much for contributing. Dave, it was a delight and I'll probably watch the whole thing through a second and third time while getting ready for my presentation.

Thank you so much, again, I appreciate your lecture series. I'll probably see what else you got out there to learn more for fun (as you made it fun!).

Incredibly in depth and educational. The complex terminology is also simplified afterwards to make it easy to understand and follow along! For anyone with minimal or no knowledge of fungi, this is the perfect starting point for obtaining alot of important information on fungi to help people along on their mycology journey!
